New interviews from Montreal | Mapping Hungarian Montreal

During the 2025–2026 academic year, new interviews were conducted as part of the Mapping Hungarian Montreal project. Under the guidance of Dr. Éva Huszti, master’s students in sociology at the University of Debrecen also participated in the research project, thereby expanding their theoretical and methodological knowledge as well as  enhancing their practical skills.

Based on sociological theories related to migration, the process of social integration—and, more specifically, the role of social networks—research questions were formulated, and were then developed into interview questions. After establishing contact with the interviewees, altogether 21 interviews were conducted online.
